Let me take a moment to reintroduce myself and give you an idea on what you will find here on this blog.
My name is Cassie, I’m a 30-year-old single mother to my 2-year-old daughter Luna.
Before getting pregnant I used to travel the world working as a scuba diving instructor, a project manager, and yacht crew.
I’ve lived on islands in Thailand, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Fiji.
I’ve worked on boats in the British Virgin Islands, Saba, St. Kitts, and St. Maarten.
I’m from New Jersey and am currently raising Luna in the house my mom bought ~16 years ago. I’ve also lived in Arizona, California, and Florida.
In May, I graduated with a B.A. in journalism from Rutgers University.
At 21 months old Luna was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
My goal is to raise my daughter around the world working as a travel journalist, a blogger, a vlogger, and an overall storyteller.
I am currently a freelance writer & editor.
I’m going to break my blog down into 3 different categories, but keep in mind this can always change!
For now I’ll be doing a Monday, Wednesday, Friday themed post.
Monday: I’ll talk about travel! This will include past travel stories, destinations, cultural experiences, upcoming travels, and my own sort of travel guides or tips.
Wednesday: I’ll talk about autism. My journey as a parent navigating her toddlers diagnosis. Things that work for us, early signs, Luna’s strengths and stories of accomplishments.
Friday: I’ll talk about our week. Maybe something that happened that stood out to me and I think others will resonate with or something so random as all of the breakfasts I made that week. We’ll see where it takes me. We’ll see how this all plays out.
Keep in mind- I’m just a human living my life and writing it out. Things change, ideas progress, goals expand, you know the drill.
Writing has always been an outlet for me, a therapeutic way to get my thoughts off my chest and organized into meaning. As I navigate life into my 30’s I hope you’ll find hope, joy, inspiration, and an urge to create your own unique stories.
Thank you for being here. I appreciate you. I love you.
With love from the Lunaverse,
